Radon Test

Radon is a radioactive gas that forms naturally when uranium, thorium, or radium, which are radioactive metals break down in rocks, soil and groundwater. People can be exposed to radon primarily from breathing radon in air that comes through cracks and gaps in buildings and homes. Radon comes naturally from the earth and it is undetectable without a proper test. During your home inspection is the best time to have a radon test done. This way you can feel safe moving into your new home. A short term radon canister will be placed in the lowest point of the home. After 48 hours the canister will be sent to the lab to measure the reading.  As soon as the results are available they will be sent to you by the lab.
